Online shops that actually sell
An online shop has one job, and most of them get in their own way doing it. I build shops where the product pages answer the questions people really have, the checkout doesn't lose anyone at the last step, and you can run the whole thing without phoning a developer. Usually that means WooCommerce, because it keeps the shop yours and takes no cut of your sales. But the platform follows the job, not the other way round.
The problem
Where online shops usually leak money
What you get instead: more of the people who reach your product pages finish the order.
- A checkout with too many steps, or one that fails silently on mobile
- Product pages missing the sizes, materials or delivery times people ask about
- Shipping costs that only appear at the final screen
- Stock levels that don't match reality
- Order confirmation emails landing in spam
- A site so slow that people leave before the catalogue loads
What you get
What I build into a shop
The technical work is only half of it. The other half is removing the friction that stops somebody who already wants to buy.
Products
Product pages built for buyers and for search
Clear photography, straight specifications, and product schema so your items appear in Google results with price and availability attached.
Checkout
A checkout that doesn't lose people
Fewest possible steps, guest checkout, visible shipping costs early, and testing on real phones, not a resized desktop browser window.
Payments
Payments and shipping set up for Spain and the UK
Card payments, local methods, sensible tax handling and shipping zones that match where you really post to, including the awkward Spain-to-UK cases.
Admin
A backend you can run yourself
Stock, orders, refunds and new products handled without a manual. I train you on the real shop before handover, not on a demo.
Speed
Performance under a real catalogue
Shops get slower as they grow. I build with that in mind, so the site is still quick at five hundred products, not just five.
Transactional email that arrives
Order confirmations set up on authenticated sending, so receipts reach the inbox instead of the spam folder.
Process
How a shop build runs
Scope call
Products, variations, shipping destinations, payment methods and any integrations. This is where the real cost gets decided.
Fixed quote
A written number covering the build, with anything open-ended priced separately and clearly.
Build and populate
I build the shop and set up the product structure. You can load products yourself or I can, whichever works out cheaper for you.
Test with real money
Live test orders, refunds, emails and mobile checkout before launch. Every payment path gets walked end to end.
Launch and support
Go live, then a period of close support while the first real orders come through and the edge cases surface.

What clients say about working with Wayne
Every review below is verified on Trustpilot. All of them are five stars.
After a series of bad experiences with other web developers, working with Wayne was a breath of fresh air. He is very responsive and completes work to a high standard. I would not hesitate to recommend SourceCode to anyone.
Wayne is my go-to developer. He is a genius with coding and everything technical. He will always find a way to make everything work seamlessly, no matter how complicated the request. We have worked together on multiple projects over the years.
Wayne built new websites for me after my old ones had been compromised, and worked around my budget. He was always available to take my calls, and the after-sales support has been incredible.
I have had several dealings with Wayne and SourceCode, all of which have been positive. Wayne is helpful, knowledgeable and gives a speedy response.

FAQs
Online Shops: common questions
If yours is not here, ask it on the call. You will get a straight answer, including when the answer is no.
5 questions
01How much does an online shop cost?
Shops start at €6,500. The number depends far more on product complexity, variations, shipping rules and integrations than on how many products you have. You get a fixed quote before anything starts.
02Can you move my shop from Shopify or Wix?
Yes. Products, customers and order history can usually be migrated. I'll tell you what doesn't transfer cleanly, and whether moving is worth it in your case. Sometimes it isn't.
03Will I be able to add products myself?
Yes. That's a requirement, not an upsell. You get shown how on your own shop before handover, and you keep that access permanently.
04Do you handle Spanish IVA and UK VAT?
I set up the tax configuration to match how you trade, including cross-border cases. I'm a developer, not an accountant, so I implement what you or your gestor confirm is correct.
05What about ongoing support once it is live?
Shops benefit from a care plan more than brochure sites do, because a broken checkout costs money every hour it stays broken. Plans start at €65 a month, with no lock-in.
