Web developer in Altea
Altea has built a reputation as the artistic town on this coast, and its businesses tend to have real visual standards. That makes it one of the more enjoyable places to design for, and one of the least forgiving.

What trading online in Altea is really like
The old town's white houses and blue-domed church draw a visitor who is already thinking about aesthetics, and the galleries, studios and boutiques that trade off that expect a website to hold the same line. Meanwhile the seafront and Altea la Vella serve a resident population with more everyday needs. Both audiences notice a template.
Photography carries the site, so it has to load
Image-led sites in Altea routinely arrive weighing eight or ten megabytes on a phone, which on a summer 4G connection means the visitor leaves before the hero image finishes. I keep the photography that makes the site work and fix the delivery instead: modern formats, correct sizing, real lazy loading. It looks the same and loads in a fraction of the time.
Who I build for in Altea
- Galleries, studios and craft businesses
- Boutique hotels and guest houses
- Restaurants along the paseo and in the old town
- Music, arts and events organisations
- Wellness, yoga and therapy practices
If your business isn't on that list, it doesn't mean I can't help. It means this page was written about Altea instead of generated from a template. Tell me what you do and I'll tell you straight whether I'm the right person for it.

What clients say about working with Wayne
Every review below is verified on Trustpilot. All of them are five stars.
After a series of bad experiences with other web developers, working with Wayne was a breath of fresh air. He is very responsive and completes work to a high standard. I would not hesitate to recommend SourceCode to anyone.
Wayne is my go-to developer. He is a genius with coding and everything technical. He will always find a way to make everything work seamlessly, no matter how complicated the request. We have worked together on multiple projects over the years.
Wayne built new websites for me after my old ones had been compromised, and worked around my budget. He was always available to take my calls, and the after-sales support has been incredible.
I have had several dealings with Wayne and SourceCode, all of which have been positive. Wayne is helpful, knowledgeable and gives a speedy response.

FAQs
Questions from Altea businesses
If yours is not here, ask it on the call. You will get a straight answer, including when the answer is no.
4 questions
01Do you really work in Altea, or just say you cover it?
I'm based in Calpe, which puts Altea within easy reach, and I've built and looked after sites for businesses across the Marina Baixa. If meeting in person matters to you, we can. If it doesn't, most projects run perfectly well over calls and WhatsApp.
02What does a website for a Altea business cost?
The same as anywhere else. A one-page site starts at €400 and a typical multi-page site is around €800, with bigger custom builds from €3,000. You get a fixed quote in writing before any work starts, so there's no location surcharge and no surprise at the end.
03Can you help if my site was built by someone else?
Yes, and it's a big part of what I do. I take over sites I didn't build, recover access where it's been lost, and either repair what's there or move you onto something you own outright.
04Will the site work in both English and Spanish?
It can, and in Altea that's often the right call. I build separate language versions with their own URLs instead of bolting on an auto-translation plugin, because search engines treat machine-translated pages as thin content and visitors can tell.

Build a rough quote in ten seconds
Pick what you need and watch the number move. It's an estimate, not a bill. Every project gets a fixed quote in writing before any work starts, and that number doesn't move once we've agreed it.
What changes the number
- How many pagesA one-page site and a fifteen-page site are different jobs. Most local businesses land somewhere around five.
- One language or twoA bilingual build is roughly a third more work than a single-language one, and on this coast it usually pays for itself.
- Whether the content is readyIf you have the words and photos, we move fast. If you need help shaping them, that's time, and it gets quoted.
- IntegrationsBookings, payments, stock, a CRM or anything that has to talk to software you already use.
- Moving an existing siteMigrating without losing your Google rankings takes care. It isn't difficult, but it isn't free either.
- How bespoke the design isAdapting a proven layout costs less than designing every section from scratch. Both are fine; it depends what you need.
